MODULE 2: Properties of Moisture (Christchurch)

This module explains the ‘physics’ aspects and fundamental basics that you need to know if you are dealing with the effects of moisture in buildings. The Module is divided into two parts with the first part covers the physics of moisture and looks at the chemical structure of water and its storage and transportation process in materials.

The second part of the module covers the 4D’s of water management (deflection, drainage, drying, durability) and the forces which can drive water into buildings and how these might be managed.
